Why does beauty love brains? Or does brains love beauty??

Right beauties, before I say ANYTHING about my new fabulous wonderful brand spanking new blog baby, I just have to comment on this fellow.

Personally, I think the hair is a little big in this shot.. but ho-ho-bloodysucking-ho : talk about a jawline.

My only problem is that I have no interest in RPatz himself, because without the intensity of Edward Cullen.. well.. it lacks something, it's just not the same for me..
It's like skim milk, and 'I can't believe its not butter'..

This fellow, and the Twilight series has had my boyfriend in abit of a tizzy.

I was infact guilty of trying to convince my very loving boyfriend that one of us had to be either near death, experiencing something that could kill one of us, or have a killer wanting to kill us for our love to feel as intense and fabulous as the one I was reading about.

He thought I was nuts.

I thought I was having a complete intellectual breakthrough re: passion, love and all things emotionally extreme until I considered the thought that if I was infact living in a Twilight series, other than being cold and wet most of the time, I also would not be able to take my boyfriend to any Sunday BBQ's, wine tasting days or restaurants (ack!).

So Edward Cullen, I still think you're fabulous, and dark and brooding and intensely sexy.. but I really like beaches and wine, and will just have to stay with my darling patient current man - Sorry.

RIGHT SO WHERE WAS I?

Oh yes : Beauty.. and then some brains..

They go together, right?

Probably more than one would expect.

I had every intention of writing a sort-of upbeat beauty and makeup blog.. thats also abit about life and then some about other stuff.. and then realised there are only about a million other such blogs out and about that are more regularly updated, and more financially funded, and.. well, probably better (?), and cleverer than mine.

(Plus, I'm no expert on beauty).

And then I thought about it for a little while and I asked myself why I even want to write a blog, and what I really wanted to write about.. and it all came down to one thing...

I don't think we appreciate brains as being beautiful and beauty as being intelligent.

Let me leave that with you, and just because I love making and remaking and relisting a good list..

Here is a list of things that you'll probably see here, with a little bit of personal flair:

1. Beauty stuff. I love to play with makeup and more makeup and my hair (not that I have much of it after 'THE CHOP' but... I'll tell you about it and show you photos of it. Disasterous and fabulous alike.

It's like our own little slumber party. Minus the pillow fight. It'll be fun. Promise.

2. Love. If I can save you any mistakes in your own love life, I'll be a happy woman. I make lots. EVERYDAY. My boyfriend is a very tolerant (albeit, flawed and annoying in his own way) man.

3. Life. Mine, yours, the lady in the apartment below mine's.. the chick at the bus stop's..

4. Health. I am so so so into this. I read everything and anything I can get my hands on when it comes to health. Just call me your one stop medical shop. Without the medical degree. I am a nurse though. That counts, right?

(Weight loss and maintenance comes into this. I am abit obsessive with scales, I'm hoping we can all learn to embrace our inner goddess, a few extra lbs or not).

5. Spirituality. I know I have a higher being in me somewhere, and I'm going to bloody find it, if it kills me. Starting with increasing my daily intake of tofu, and maybe buying a tarot deck or a crystal or something.

6. Whatever else takes my fricken fancy. Might be a nice recipe, a new fad, some utterly pimpin' shoes that I want / have bought / am advertising a kidney for..

OH AND BRAINS!

Because they're important, and need exercise and if something in/on my body is going to be big. I want it to be my brain.
